PLEASE NOTE:
1) I have now also been added to the team for Roma Universalis, a very promising mod I'm happy to be able to help with. This does mean that major new content for this mod may take longer to create than otherwise would be... but at least that means you'll have something to look forward to? ;-)
2) University is realy kicking in again, my time will be sparse so the regular updates you've been receiving will almost certainly decrease because of this as well! This mod is my focus though when I do work on any mods, and I've got a clear planning of what next to implement, so don't despair. The mod might be worth revisiting in 2-3 months

This mod started out as a desire to colonise the new world as a faltering Byzantium and has grown out to be a much larger project than originally expected.
Discover a new experience as a young, technologically and philosophically advanced nation in a New World, with all its wonders and perils. The new Nation of Elysia has great potential to grow and become a local superpower. A ton of events and decisions give allot of context and flavor to the nation and shapes its growth and feel. There's allot of events to discover, and depending on the choices you make your experience could change completely! Will you remain a loyal orthodox christian, or denounce the God that refused to help at times of great peril in favor of the old gods? Will you take along every possible artifact that may be of great boon, or will you take as much supplies and people as possible to avoid collapsing your economy and being overrun by natives? Consider your actions carefully, you can never know what future trouble may arise out of seemingly easy choices...

Planned contect:
-New Elysian-culture countries that can emerge in times of trouble (partially implemented)
-Even more flavor events and a few more missions (for example: Events that decay Elysia-built province buffs when controlled by foreigners, missions that stimulate the Elysian quest for high prestige)
-Improve the interaction with the natives through more events and missions for natives
-A new bookmark where Elysia is already formed
-The late game outraged reaction of European nations discovering the byzantine deception, possibly only shortly before they are crushed by your mighty boot!
-Your suggestions?
Suggestions are of course very welcome, constructive comments would help me allot in improving this mod! (and good ratings feel nice, so if you think it deserves them... ;-) ) Don't hold back, this is my first mod and I don't expect it to be in any way perfect, but I hope to provide some unique bonus gameplay to EUIV so it can be enjoyed even longer. Your input can help me achieve that goal!

Special thanks to:
-steam user 'Dorimi' and associates of the 'Purple Phoenix Rises' mod for some of the event images and the basis of the Elysian flag. The permission to use this is questionable (Dorimi agreed I'd credit them in an opening event and here, but confused me later on) so if there are any requests from whomever has the rights to the artwork to remove it I will take down the mod and replace it ASAP. Though since it is not used for personal monetary gain I hope usage is permitted.
-steam user 'Jords' for kindly helping to create an event that undiscovers the european homelands.
-Paradox forum user 'marmot01' for the helpful guides.

KNOWN ISSUES:
-Province names don't show on map: this is a vanilla problem with auto-discovering neighboring provinces. It'll show up when you refresh your map (by reloading the game, or better by changing a province name - yes, you can do that, click on a province name in the province panel!)
-Province Elysia renames itself back to Conoy: a Vanilla bug that occurs when you have the province selected, the event renames it, and then you unselect the province. Easy solution though; manually rename the province and it should work :-)
-NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RANDOMLY GENERATED WORLD, and there may be issues caused by migrations of natives. Playing without 'conquest of paradise' could provide a more stable experience without any major loss of gameplay depth.
-NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER MAJOR MODS that change files from the base game. Especially those that change religions and tech groups. User interface mods should work
